Is the client always running on my computer? What happens when I log on and off?

PutPlace runs automatically and continuously unless you deliberately turn it off.  You can turn PutPlace off by right clicking the green PutPlace logo (bottom right hand side of your screen) and then clicking Exit.

You can do this to avoid heavy broadband traffic. For example, if you are downloading a large file and also working on data that PutPlace is automatically backing up, you may wish to postpone your backup so that the download finishes more quickly.

Don’t forget to turn PutPlace on again if you want to have continuous back up of your new and modified content.

Three Steps to Protect your Digital Life

  1. Install PutPlace.
  2. Tell PutPlace what folders are important to you.
  3. There is no 3! Your files are safe from now on.
